With his devotion to the fashion world seemingly increasing by the day, the ever-busy Kanye West recently decided that he needed someone that he could trust to look over his still very active G.O.O.D. Music record label.

The “All Day” rapper apparently didn’t have to look very far for the next president of the label as it’s been announced that veteran G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T will undertake the task of leading the label forward. The “Lunch Money” rapper recently told Billboard how West offered him the new gig during a phone conversation.

“‘Ye had called me and he was like, ‘Tell me something. What do you think about being the president of G.O.O.D. Music?’ And I was like, ‘Well, what are the things that you’re looking for?’ And he was basically just like, to manicure the label, make it profitable, and be very business-oriented about it going forward in a manicured type of way.”

The 38-year-old Virginia emcee went to say among other things that he thinks he was offered the position because West has seen his work ethic and how he’s tended to previous business endeavors.

“I always look at it as an opportunity to help the team and I think that artistically, me and Kanye have the same vision,” he said. “He respects me as an artist, a really manicured artist. I’m not out here shooting in the dark, doing any and every thing. When it comes to albums and things like that, I have a very manicured process in which I get to take my time and I think he sorta respects that I get to take my time.”

One of Pusha’s first releases as label president may be his own highly anticipated album, King Push, which is tentatively scheduled to be released before the end of the year.
