On Friday, Nov. 13, Paris became the target of a mass terrorist attack, killing scores of people, with more than 200 others wounded. As we watched the horrific events unfold, celebrities and fellow Americans across the nation extended their arms in prayer for those lost, injured, and shaken.
Today, President François Hollande blamed the Islamic State for the terrorist attacks: It is an act of war that was committed by a terrorist army, a jihadist army, Daesh, against France,” Hollande told the nation from the Élysée Palace, using an Arabic acronym for the Islamic State. “It is an act of war that was prepared, organized and planned from abroad, with complicity from the inside, which the investigation will help establish.”
