RnBUntapped held its first showcase of 2016 at Suite Lounge in Atlanta. Hosted by Drew Sanders, celebrity attendees included Future and Michael Johnson (Cincinnati Bengals) and a capacity crowd who witnessed new artists who will take R&B to the next level.

Crystal Cruz, Final Draft, Marissa, and Angelina Sheree performed in fornt of a live band with DJ sounds from Blak Magic.

Crystal Cru, who was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, sung “Breakfast in Bed,” and “Damaged.” Her style embraced a retro style and listed Etta James, Billie Holiday, Nancy Wilson as her influences.

Marissa, who once studied to be a dentist at Georgia State University,  performed “Rules” and “She’s Broken.”
And Georgia native Angelina Sheree played the violin and sung several songs including, “Stop & Stare.”
Before the show, Sanders spoke with rolling out to discuss why RnBUntapped is important for the culture. “I decided to name the show RnBUntapped because I felt like the genre wasn’t being tapped into the way it’s supposed to. I think part of the reason is because there’s a lack of outlets and platforms for emerging R&B artists. So we want people to “tap” in and see who we’re showcasing,” he said.
