Congrats are in order for curvy girl Ashley Graham. In 2015, the 28-year-old nabbed a page in the history books, when she starred in the first-ever plus-size ad to run in the popular sports mag Sports Illustrated. This week, the Nebraska native made an equally exciting announcement that she will appear in an editorial in next week’s 2016 swimsuit issue, as part of the mag’s rookie class.

“It’s official — I’m a @sportsillustrated swimsuit model!!,” she shared via Instagram. “This is a dream come true. Thank you to everyone who stood up for curves — our voices were heard and together we can help me win Rookie of the Year. Stay tuned for voting instructions #beautybeyondsize #islay.”

On Monday, Feb. 8, Swim Daily announced Barbara Palvin as the first member of the S.I. Swimsuit 2016 Rookie Class. Graham was announced the following day, with the remaining three rookies to be revealed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.

Graham joins Robyn Lawley, who just last year became the first-ever plus-size model to officially pose for the highly anticipated publication. The model/designer/body positive activist even shared a sultry snap from her upcoming spread via social media. Dressed in a purple plunging two-piece with fuchsia detailing, Graham stands up for curves, her confidence serving as the perfect accessory.

Regularly featured in bikinis and lingerie, thanks to her recently announced partnership with Swimsuits for All, long time collaboration with Lane Bryant and her very own lingerie line, Graham looks right at home on camera. And we love it.

For five things you should know about the bodacious beauty, including how she feels about the term “plus-size,” as well as details regarding her budding business, hit the flip. In the meantime, let us know what you think about Graham’s SI rookie snap in the comment section below.
