The feud between Sinéad O’Connor and Arsenio Hall has worsened.

On Friday, May 6, the “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer responded to Hall’s $5 million lawsuit over her accusations that he supplied drugs to Prince. “I’m more amused than I’ve ever dreamed a person could be and look forward very much to how hilarious it will be watching him trying to prove me wrong,” she wrote on Facebook.

“I’m also very happy to notice that the DEA has taken me seriously enough to be thoroughly questioning all of Prince’s friends and aides from the last 30 years as to his history of hard drug use and where he obtained his drugs. I do not like drugs killing musicians. And I do not like Arsenio Hall.”

The lawsuit comes on the heels of Sinead posting a lengthy Facebook message where she accused the former talk show host of supplying the late musician with “decades” of drugs and of “spiking” her “years ago” at his Coming to America co-star Eddie Murphy’s home.

“Desperate, attention-seeker Sinéad O’Connor has maliciously published outlandish defamatory lies about comedian Arsenio Hall,” the court documents state. “The malicious statements made by O’Connor are absolutely false and O’Connor’s heinous accusations that Hall engaged in this criminal conduct are despicable, fabricated lies.”

Furthermore, Hall claims he’s only had “minimal contact” with O’Connor, most recently 25 years ago, and that since she posted “her malicious and reckless lies” they’ve “spread like wildfire across the media through the United States and the world, causing substantial harm to Hall’s reputation.” By “falsely accusing” him, O’Connor has also put a target on Hall’s back, leaving him open to “hatred, contempt, ridicule and obloquy” and/or cause him to be “shunned or avoided.” Not to mention those seeking justice for The Purple One may “have a tendency” to “injure” him.

Oddly enough, the suit was filed the same day that Carver County Sheriff’s office announced it had found the prescription drug Percocet on Prince. While a cause of death has not yet been revealed, a possible addiction to prescription drugs is now at the top of the list for investigators, including the DEA.
