The cast of the “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” is filled with members who have one thing in common, mug shots. This season’s cast member, Karen “KK” King is no exception. During this week’s episode, Scrapp Deleon, King’s son, finds out he has to serve five years in prison on marijuana trafficking charges. On Monday night, while attending a party in Atlanta’s Buckhead section at Level V, King was arrested by the Atlanta Police Department on some serious charges.

King is being charged with financial identity fraud, theft by taking and forgery in the first degree. She was taken into custody at Fulton County Jail and her bond on each charge is listed at $10,000. Jail records have not indicated whether she has posted bond. This is the second arrest for King after an encounter with police in the fall of 2015. She was arrested in a credit card and stolen merchandise scam against the upscale retailer, Saks Fifth Avenue located at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta. Reportedly, King and two accomplices, one of which was an employee, stole several thousand dollars worth of merchandise. The trio used a fake name and stolen credit card information and rang up false receipts for high-end items.

Prior, King was featured on the show “America’s Most Wanted” for a string of charges that included aggravated assault with intent to murder, aggravated battery with intent to disfigure, kidnapping, armed robbery and various drug charges. King was accused of also beating up her boyfriend, an aspect of her violent behavior that has been featured on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.”

Truly, it is a sad tale for a mother to have such a serious moral issue. Now, it is compounded with a continuing legacy of family dysfunction.
