Kevin Hart gushes over wife Eniko Parrish: ‘She makes me better’

Kevin Hart opens up about his recent nuptials. In case you missed it, the funnyman married his longtime girlfriend Eniko Parrish, 31, in California on Saturday, August 15. Naturally, the perfect pair, who were engaged for two years, gave fans a glimpse into their magical day by documenting the lavish affair on Instagram. Dressed in not one but two custom Vera Wang gowns – one for the ceremony another with French Chantilly lace appliqué for the reception – Parrish looked every bit of fabulous.

Now, nearly a month following his nuptials, it appears the comedian is still high on love. “Getting married is a big step,” Hart told “Extra” during his third annual Hart Beat Weekend at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. “I got lucky. I got a good woman … I did it right. We took time. We’ve been together for seven years. Now, to be married is something I’m excited about. I’m happy I can call her my wife.” He continues, “She makes me better.”

Speaking of excitement, Hart went on to describe one of the many highlights surrounding his big day–that his children, daughter Heaven, 11, and son Hendrix, 8, were by his side. In fact, Hendrix played an important role, as best man. “I don’t think there is nobody else that is more deserving of the title,” said Hart. “That’s my best man, my best friend.” According to Hart, Hendrix took his responsibilities very seriously. “He wanted to hold the rings all day. He wanted to make sure our suits were all good.” The little man even gave a best man speech. “He was good,” Hart said.

As for whether the 37-year-old plans on having more children, he said “I don’t mind kids.” In the meantime, the Get Hard actor may or may not be gearing up to host the Oscars. “There’s been conversation. I think when it comes it’ll come. I’m not rushing. I’m not going anywhere. When the time is right, it’ll be right… I know that it’s in my future.” He’s also got a new stand-up comedy film, What Now? heading to theaters on October 24. “You’re looking at a tour that went on for a year and a half that we were able to capture on film,” Hart said. “It’s my biggest movie to date.” Talk about having a full plate.
