Kerry Washington and husband Nnamdi Asomugha welcome son Caleb.
Congrats are in order for the “Scandal” star, 39, and her NFL’er beau, 35. According to E! News, the couple welcomed their second child together. On October 5, the actress gave birth to a baby boy, Caleb Kelechi Asomugha. However, no further details were immediately available.
In May, Washington announced her pregnancy when she put her baby bump on display while attending the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, D.C.
Caleb, of course, joins big sister Isabelle, whom the pair welcomed in April 2014. While the Hollywood pair is known to keep their personal life away from the public eye, Washington couldn’t help but gush about motherhood.
“I will say I feel really, really blessed,” Washington told the Los Angeles Times of welcoming her first child. “I just feel really blessed that I’m kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life.”
Meanwhile, last month at the Emmy Awards, the Confirmation star admitted to having a bit of anxiety about expanding her family. “I’m an only [child] so every time the family grows it uh… it brings up a little bit of anxiety,” Washington told ET. “But it’s fantastic. I’m really happy.”
“We’re all really excited,” she told the entertainment site in June. Though the Neutrogena spokeswoman hasn’t taken to social media to post about her bouncing new babe, she has been in touch with her Twitter and Instagram followers sharing posts focusing on politics and social issues.
