Mariah Carey responds to news Nick Cannon’s got a baby on board.

During a recent interview with “Extra’s” Mario Lopez, the superstar singer broke her silence about her ex-husband’s big announcement: “I’ll always be supportive of him… and this is all news to me, ’cause I didn’t know about this till maybe last week. I asked him a question and then he kinda said yes, but didn’t, and I’m like, it’s kinda confirmed… If he’s happy that’s great.”

As previously reported, the rapper, actor, comedian is expecting a child with his former girlfriend Brittany Bell. “I’ve got a baby on the way,” the actor recently told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club after calling Bell a “special young lady.” However, the 36-year-old refused to refer to Bell as his “ex,” clarifying that “ex Mariah [Carey] is my last ‘ex.’ Everybody else is people that I’ve known, loved and cared for.” It appears the pair had an amicable split.

As for Carey’s troubled love life, the “Infinity” songstress went on to open up about her broken engagement to Aussie Billionaire James Packer. “You look like life is good, you’re handling everything well. You don’t look distraught at all,” said Lopez, suggesting Carey looked well off despite several weeks of disparaging headlines. Carey replied, “Do I look distraught?” To which Lopez clarified, “No, I said you don’t look distraught.” “Okay, good. I’m definitely not distraught,” Carey continued.

Up next, the 46-year-old is set to appear in an eight-part series on E! in which Cannon as well as the pair’s adorable twins Moroccan and Monroe, will appear. “I don’t know if I learn something about myself, but I’ll definitely sit there and critique… I’ll just look at myself and go, ‘Oh why did I do that? Oh, what is this?'” said Carey of her upcoming reality show.

As for how the singer is getting into the holiday spirit, she revealed, “I have Christmas shows that I do in New York at the Beacon Theater… that’s one of my favorite things to do.” She also broke news about a project with her iconic hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” saying, “I have another project using that song… it’s animation.”

While that project is currently under wraps, “Mariah’s World” is set to hit the small screen on Dec. 4 on E!. Will you be watching? Sound off in the comment section below.
