DJ Khaled’s Father of Asahd officially dropped at midnight Friday, May 17, 2019.
The well-teased album is the hip-hop producer’s 11th studio album, and Khaled has claimed it is his best work yet.
The album, which is dedicated to Khaled’s 2-year-old son Asahd, is jam-packed with collaborations and features artists, including Beyoncé, Buju Banton, Cardi B, Chris Brown, Post Malone, Nas, 21 Savage, Future, Lil Wayne and the late Nipsey Hussle.
The album’s opening with a track entitled, “Holy Mountain,” sees Khaled featuring Jamaican A-listers Buju Banton, Mavado and Sizzla.
“Holy Mountain,” which was shot on the Khaled’s visit to Jamaica in December 2018, was one of the first tracks on the album for which a video was released Friday.
Another video was for the single “Higher,” a gospel-inspired song that features the late Nipsey Hussle and R&B crooner John Legend. All proceeds from that song will go toward Nipsey’s children.
