Promo guru Courtney Powell explains why DJs make the industry go round

How do you go about positioning the artists that you work with? Projects? Are they all different or is there a specific strategy that you employ?

The strategy is different for each artist, but I go to the DJ’s first and foremost. For 20 years of my career, the DJ’s have always given their true feedback on songs that I was promoting to radio, clubs, mixtapes and other platforms.
