“Ahmaud Arbery was a son,” the statement read. “He was a brother. He was a friend. His life had meaning. We will not forget him. We honor him best by continuing the fight for justice.”
The federal trial for the McMichaels and Bryan is set to begin in February 2022. If convicted of federal charges, the three defendants could face life in prison.
