Sixteen-year-old Bree Matthews no longer wants anything to do with family memories or her childhood home following her mother’s death. Bree enrolls in a residential program at UNC-Chapel Hill as a way to escape, not anticipating that she’ll witness a magical event her first night on campus and discover a secret society of “Legendborn” students. 


A mysterious teenage mage who calls himself a “Merlin,” attempts to erase Bree’s memory of what she witnessed. The failure uncover’s Bree’s own unique magic and a memory that shows another Merlin was present at the hospital where her mother died. Learning that there’s more to her mother’s death and the police report lacks information, Bree is dead-set on finding the truth and will pose as a Legendborn initiate to get it.

The sequel Bloodmarked publication date is Nov. 8, 2022
