Drake won more than $2.3 million on a Super Bowl 2024 bet — but is giving it away to a fan.
The rapper, born Aubrey Drake Graham, has an estimated net worth of $250 million. He revealed on Instagram that he wagered $1.15 million of his fortune on The Kansas City Chiefs beating the San Francisco 49ers during the Feb. 11 game in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The “Hotline Bling” hitmaker has now revealed that, because of the Chiefs’ win, his windfall was more than $2.3 million, which he intends to use to make one of his fans very happy.
“If I win somebody getting super blessed at the show [tomorrow],” he said. Just before game time on Sunday, the Grammy winner posted a screenshot of his wager on the betting platform Stake, with which he has a partnership.
Drake was due to give away his winnings at his concert on Feb. 12 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
He wasn’t at the Allegiant Stadium to watch the Super Bowl but posted footage on his Instagram Story of him enjoying it on TV from what appeared to be a hotel suite.
Drake is well known for placing sports bets on everything from UFC fights to baseball games. However, he has had such a mixed run of luck that his tendency to lose huge wagers has been dubbed “The Drake Curse” by both athletes and fans.
His massive Super Bowl win comes after the rapper was said to have laughed off an alleged inappropriate video of the rapper that has appeared online.
The “Started From the Bottom” performer started to trend on X earlier this month after the clip — which showed a man who appeared to be the musician touching himself while sitting on a bed — spread on the web.
A headboard in the video seemed to match the one that Drake has on his $220 million private jet, but the rapper responded to its leak by sending a series of laughing emojis.
He was asked about it by popular streamer Adin Ross, who sent him a voice memo about the clip.
“I’m still live, bro. We was just looking at the
. It’s like crazy bro, like goddamn. You’re blessed with your voice, you’re blessed with performing, you’re blessed to be you, you’re blessed to be number one and you’re also blessed to have a [big private part],” Ross said.
Ross then claimed Drake replied to his note by putting “like eight laughing emojis.”
The streamer also suggested Drake might use his voice note as his “next album intro.”
It is unconfirmed if the man in the video is Drake, as he has yet to publicly comment on the video.
