Is Drake in the crosshairs of Future and Metro Boomin’s new collaborative album, We Don’t Trust You?

While the internet is in an uproar over Kendrick Lamar‘s vicious direct hit on Drake in his verse on the song “Like That,” some are starting to notice there may be bars about the OVO boss all throughout the album. Since the seventeen-track album dropped on Friday (March 22), fans have been dissecting a lot of the album’s lyrics and have concluded that both artists have fallen out with Drake for various reasons.

On the album’s title track, Future drops some bars that lead many to believe that not only are him and Drake not on friendly terms at the moment, but also that the rift may have something to do with women that both rappers may have dated.

You a n—- No.1 fan, dog
Sneak dissin’, I don’t understand, dog
Pillowtalkin’, actin’ like a fed, dog
I don’t need another fake friend, dog
Can’t be ’bout a h–, ’cause we sharin’, dog
In yo feelings, n—-, why you playin’, dog?”

While the fallout with Future is new, the growing divide between Drizzy and Metro Boomin’ has been brewing for more than a year kicking off when Metro shared his none too pleasing thoughts on the success of Drake and 21 Savage’s album, Her Loss.

Drake soon unfollowed Metro on Instagram with the producer returning the favor. Metro would later make light of the situation but it doesn’t appear Drake was ready to let it go. In an Instagram story post this past January, the “Started From The Bottom” artist posted a congratulatory screenshot of 21 Savage’s latest album, American Dream, but conveniently posting shouting emojis over Metro Boomin’s name.

WE DON’T TRUST YOU is out now on all digital streaming platforms.
