Beyoncé continues to make waves with her philanthropic efforts through the BeyGood charity. Recently, she donated $500,000 in grants to support Black cowboys during the annual Bill Pickett Rodeo circuit. This generous contribution aims to uplift Black cowboy culture and promote the newly established Black Equestrians Program.

In collaboration with the longest-running Black rodeo association, this initiative is designed to support Black horse riders and ranchers, celebrating the rich heritage they have maintained. Beyoncé’s recent album, Cowboy Carter, has further amplified this movement, showcasing the importance of Black representation in country music.

According to USA Today, the announcement of this philanthropic gift took place at the rodeo’s Atlanta event on Aug. 3. In addition to the $500,000 grant, BeyGood also awarded $25,000 grants to four organizations, including SC Black Farmers and The Black Cultural Enlightenment Society/Black Cowboy Festival. These organizations focus on encouraging Black youth to engage in farming, agriculture and horse riding, which are vital components of their missions.

Beyoncé‘s commitment to reclaiming her country roots and highlighting the contributions of Black individuals in country music has become a focal point of her recent work. Her vibrant appearance in a commercial for Team USA’s participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics, wearing a red, white and blue cowboy hat, further emphasizes her dedication to uplifting her community and celebrating American heritage.

Beyond her support for Black cowboy culture, BeyGood also champions Black entrepreneurship. To celebrate the launch of her hair care line, Cécred, Beyoncé distributed grants to Black-owned hair salons and provided scholarships to cosmetology students, ensuring the education of future Black hairstylists.

BeyGood remains steadfast in its mission to assist Black entrepreneurs and business owners, as well as provide disaster relief to diverse communities. For more information on Beyoncé’s charitable initiatives, visit the BeyGood website.
