Alexis Kane’s family never thought that an encounter that started on Facebook would lead to the teen’s tragic death. According to Fox 4 in Kansas City, Kane, 14, met Isaac Carter, 17, on Facebook.

The two agreed to meet for a date, but Carter allegedly had other plans. Kane asked her friends to take her to a gas station to meet with Carter. Once at the gas station, Kane got into a vehicle with Carter and his friends, Dominic McDaniel, 18, and Ce-Antonyo Kennedy, 17.

Carter drove to The Bay Water Park. A surveillance camera captured Kane being struck on the head with a gun and then shot several times. Reportedly, Kennedy shot Kane five times and Carter grabbed the gun and shot her seven more times.

Carter, McDaniel and Kennedy have all been charged with first-degree homicide.
