Michelle Rowling knew that her life was in danger and went to Facebook to express her troubling circumstance. Five days after her post, she was found dead.
According to FOX 2 St. Louis, Rowling posted, “If anything happens to me tonight, just let my kids know I loved them dearly and tell my momma I love her.”
Rowling, 25, was found stabbed to death in her home on Nov. 30. Over the years, Rowling experienced a series of domestic violence incidents with her ex-boyfriend, Montrell Cooper.
Cooper stabbed her in the neck in 2012. He was sent to jail for the incident and beat her again after he was released from prison. Cooper was arrested again and threatened to kill her once he got out of jail. He was released from prison on the same day that she posted her Facebook status.
Police are currently looking for Cooper who is now on the run.
Rowling’s friends and family members have posted on her Facebook page and some are dealing with the regret of not being proactive after she posted her chilling status.
She leaves behind two children.
