3 Women Removed From ‘Basketball Wives’ Cast
Fans of VH1’s “Basketball Wives” will notice a shakeup in next season’s lineup now that three women have reportedly been fired from the cast. TMZ reports that Shaunie O’Neal has axed three of the show’s characters including two ladies who’ve been with the program from the beginning. As previously reported, Shaquille O’Neal’s ex pledged to clean up the bickering on her reality TV show-turned-WWE showdown that features drink throwing, face slapping and bullying. In May, “Basketball Wives” production company, Shed Media, released a statement echoing her sentiments. “Shed Media US is fully committed to telling the compelling stories of the ‘Basketball Wives’ in a balanced way,” said Shed. “Our producing partner, Shaunie O’Neal, feels strongly about this, and we fully agree with this stance. We support her as she encourages the cast members to work out issues in a nonviolent fashion. We look forward to working with her and the rest of the cast on conveying more balance in the next season.”
That next season of “Basketball Wives” while less violent could also be less entertaining now that it will be missing three of its stars. So who got cut? Suzie? Tami or its slap-happy star, Evelyn? Check out the three ladies nixed from “Basketball Wives” below. –danielle canada
