Preliminary reports that Britney Spears has signed on to be a judge on a hit U.S. talent show, are false — for now. Spears, 30, is set to be a judge on “X-Factor” alongside Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, officially making her one of the highest paid women on television.
“TMZ” reports that Spears will indeed be a part of the U.S. talent program and ink a $15 million deal in the forthcoming days. Preliminary reports that she’s already on board however are false. FOX is expected to announce Spears’ participation Monday at the Upfronts in New York City.
Spears’s new position doesn’t come without controversy however, Howard Stern, the newly appointed “America’s Got Talent” judge slammed her Thursday at a press conference for his talent competition.
“Well, I think it’s a wonderful decision. Britney still thinks the earth is flat,” said Stern. “I don’t anticipate great opinions from her. I think she’s gonna sit there like J.Lo, “Oh, you’re wonderful, you’re terrific. You think I can get a perfume endorsement out of this?’ ” –danielle canada
