Porsha Stewart-Williams came under fire from her cast mates on Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” when they criticized her marriage during a girls’ trip in Vegas. But now Kandi Burruss has had a change of heart and has apologized to Stewart-Williams.
The trouble between the two all began when Stewart-Williams refused to go with the other ladies on a trip to a Vegas strip club, saying that her husband, Kordell Stewart, would not approve. However, the ladies, who were already suspicious about Kordell’s behavior, claimed that he was controlling Stewart-Williams, though she denied such a thing was happening.
Now, Burruss is feeling remorseful about her critiques and she recently posted a public apology to Stewart -Williams on her Bravo blog.
“I felt bad as I looked back at how we were questioning Porsha about her marriage. So let me say, Porsha, I apologize,” wrote Burruss. “My mom always says you’re not supposed to speak about other people’s marriage unless they ask you to. Porsha did not ask me for advice, nor should she. I am not married YET, therefore I can’t say what Porsha should or should not do. I respect the fact she stood her ground.”
Burruss says that she honestly doesn’t relate to Stewart-Williams marriage, but she doesn’t hold any ill will toward their union.
“My situation is totally different than Porsha’s. I meant what I said about how I can’t relate to her situation, because it’s true that if you have to financially depend on your mate, then a lot of times that gives them more control,” said Burruss.
“Well, although I can’t relate to Porsha, I still wish her happiness and longevity in her marriage, and I hope she keeps doing what works for her. Maybe I need to be taking advice from her, since she is the married one,” she added.
We have to admit, that was pretty big of Burruss to apologize to Stewart-Williams. Hopefully, her apology will smooth over any possible bad feelings between the two. However, this isn’t the first time a reality TV couples’ marriage has come under fire.
