Rihanna: The Black Millionaire Blueprint for Success

Rihanna: The Black Millionaire Blueprint for Success

A chance vacation to Barbados by a music executive. A caramel-coated cutie with an angelic aura and island accent in the right place at the right time. These two scarcely related people intersected in the city of St. Michael, Barbados and the result has been pure pop paradise for Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

In just six years, the bodacious Bajan beauty has become music’s most prolific hitmaker in the world over the past two decades, says Billboard magazine, besting the likes of Lady Gaga, Janet, Mariah, Pink, Usher, Britney Spears, the Black-Eye Peas, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera and everyone else in the genre. So strong was her magnetism and skill set that music impresario Jay-Z signed Rihanna on the spot and she has not look back since. Already, Rihanna boasts #1 Billboard singles in six consecutive years, a record, and she has eight U.S. number one of her career, making her the female artist with the fifth-most number ones in the chart’s history.

She has caused quakes in the industry through her looks, her voice, her hyper-sexuality, her sharp tongue and, most of all, her turbulent relationship with equally-talented R&B star Chris Brown.

But who is Rihanna really? Where did she come from? Let’s find out.
