Children’s hospital shooting
Police were called to the scene of a Milwaukee children’s hospital today, November 14, after a reported shooting. Milwaukee’s Journal Sentinel reports that a suspect is in custody after shots were fired Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin shortly after noon. The only person injured on the scene was the suspect who suffered a wrist wound from police gunfire.
Details are skimpy but police say they were tracking a wanted man who ended up firing shots inside the hospital. The hospital was immediately put on lockdown.
“We have implemented our emergency protocols and will provide updates as they become available,” the hospital said in a statement.
