Although Tami Roman has had rough seasons ever since she joined the cast of “Basketball Wives,” this season has been doubly difficult for her as she’s had to juggle the death of her mother with drama between herself and each of her cast mates. After venting about her cast mates last week, Roman is now claiming that she’s tired of the drama of this season of “Basketball Wives,” leading many to believe she may jump ship.
After the show came under fire last year its over-the-top drama, much of which was instigated by Roman, she pledged to change her image from reality TV bad girl to peaceful reality star. But in a recent interview with “The Morning Riot,” Roman discussed her failing efforts and her anger over the way she believes producers are continuing to edit her as a villain.
“I’m still mad. They’re trying to portray me week after week as a certain type of person, and I’m not going for that and I am not having that,” Roman said. “I’m sick of the ‘Basketball Wives’ train that has the left the station this season.”
Despite Roman’s claim of bad editing, many fans believe that Roman brought the drama upon herself when she decided to dig up dirt about new cast member Tasha Marbury to use as ammo in case things went south when they met. However, Roman claims that she did nothing wrong by preparing for war beforehand.
“This woman knows everything there is to know about me. We’re five seasons in,” Roman explained. “I knew nothing about this person. So I did my investigation and found out some things. I wanted to be armed with information, in cause she tried to come at me sideways, ’cause I never know how somebody’s gonna come at me. There’s nothing wrong with that.”
Roman said she’s also angry that Evelyn Lozada and Shaunie O’Neal tried to make it seem like she skipped Lozada’s PETA birthday bash because she was jealous that the animal rights group didn’t choose her for a campaign.
“I congratulated her on and was happy for her, but [they] tried to make it seem like I was hating on her by not coming to her party. I don’t get down like that,” said Roman.
Well, we doubt that Roman will be able to ditch her bad girl image anytime soon, but we’ll have to wait and see if she stays on “BBW” or not.
