Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s marriage is inspiring a new sitcom from “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris. And it makes total sense. After all, who doesn’t love this couple?

Barris, who has a three-year deal with ABC Studios to develop new projects, told Buzzfeed on Friday that his first effort will be a comedic take loosely based on the lovable union between the award-winning singer and Sports Illustrated model.

‘It’s inspired by them — they’re both super creative and super effusive and I’m just fans of them and everything they stand for,” said Barris.

The couple will also co-produce on the project, which is tentatively titled “Ordinary People” after John’s 2004 Grammy-winning track of the same name. “I feel that song serves as a thematic background for the show,” Barris told BuzzFeed.

“It will be about an interracial couple. We don’t know what’s going to be what. But it will be a part of the show in terms of showing those two world’s colliding and coming together — their issues and their obstacles that [happen inside] their personal relationship,” Barris continued, providing a breakdown of what we can expect from the upcoming ABC series.

Assuming the project gets the greenlight, they could be filming as soon as February. How the couple will work the new series into their busy schedules, however, remains to be seen. In the meantime, Teigen is set to appear in a new ABC syndicated daytime talk show, “FABLife,” alongside “ANTM” creator Tyra Banks, Yahoo Style Editor-in-Chief Joe Zee, interior designer Lauren Makk and “The Haute List” co-host Leah Ashley.

On Thursday, John posted a selfie standing next to a poster of his wife in FABLife with the caption, “Backstage at @fablifeshow stalking @chrissyteigen. The show debuts on Sept 14!”

Legend on the other hand is poised to play a series of concerts including two in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on September 18 and 20; Rome and Padua in Italy on November 11 and 12; and the Alumni Arena in Amherst, New York on November 18.

Sounds like a good look for both Teigen and Legend. For futher details surrounding their upcoming small screen series, stay tuned…
