Ciara had one of the biggest breakups of the year when it was announced last fall that she’d ended her engagement with Future amid rumors that he cheated on her. Things got heated between the two again recently when Ciara slammed Future in her candid new single “I Bet,” and although many fans have assumed that the former couple is at odds with each other, Ciara recently explained that she and Future are “cool.”
Ciara spoke candidly about her life post-Future in an interview with “The Breakfast Club,” explaining that she has no regrets about their failed engagement.
“It clearly didn’t work out,” Ciara said. “But I have the greatest gift, the greatest joy of my life is my son [Future Jr.]. Honestly, I feel like everything in life happens for a reason and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life and been the most game-changing thing that’s happened to my life, in a necessary way.”
When she was asked why things didn’t work out with Future, Ciara remained tightlipped but did say, “I can’t really break all that down because I don’t event think it really matters,
to tell you the truth. Especially when the ending is great as it is with my son. That’s what worked out, my son.”
Ciara went on to assure that she and Future really are on good terms as co-parents for their son.
But that’s not all she had to talk about. See what else she had to say about Future, as well as her beefs with Jermaine Dupri and Rihanna.
