Rappers are still hungover from Kendrick Lamar’s lethal verse on Big Sean’s “Control.” In what seems to be an ongoing pattern, Joe Budden was the latest rapper who wasn’t mentioned by Kendrick Lamar to release a diss record.
However, Joe Budden may have recorded the best rebuttal thus far. On the “Control” remix, Joe Budden calls out Kendrick Lamar, Jay Electronica, Tyler the Creator, A$AP Rocky, Meek Mill, Joey Bada$$, and Trinidad Jame$.
Joe Budden raps, “This ain’t for bandwagon fans sit y’all asses in the same spot, Y’all the same who made Trinidad Jame$ hot….I state facts, not to say [Kendrick’s] verse is wack, but check the playback, outryhming A$AP ain’t showing me where your weight at…you the king of New York, you might as well had spit on Biggie’s grave…Keep it funky, Drake washed you twice, Tell me Tyler that fire with saliva, I reply don’t bring a lie around…run up on Meek Mill with the silencer, quiet down.”
