Forbes’ highest paid musicians list

Forbes has released its annual list of the world’s highest paid musicians noting the music makers whose annual earnings are well over seven figures. Topping this year’s list is Madonna, who raked in an estimated $125 million over the past year thanks to a tour, clothing line and popular fragrance. Pop superstar Lady Gaga came in second with $80 million.

On this year’s list of movers and shakers there are only five black stars including number 10 — Beyoncé, who earned $53 million from her Mrs. Carter Show tour, Pepsi deal and House of Dereon clothing line.

Other black celebrities on Forbes’ highest paid musicians list include a Bad Boy Records head, a headphone company leader and a D’Ussé cognac maker.
