Kanye West blasts the CCA on his new song, ‘New Slaves’

Kanye West received praise and backlash for his new single, “New Slaves.” But when taking a deeper look at the lyrics, Kanye shed light on an organization that continues to profit from incarceration:

“Meanwhile the DEA/ Teamed up with the CCA/ They trying to lock n—s up/ They trying to make new slaves/ See that’s that private owned prison/ Get your piece today,” Kanye raps.


The CCA stands for the Correctional Corporation of America and it happens to be one of the most powerful entities in the nation.
