It’s official, Mariah Carey has landed a lucrative Las Vegas residency at Ceasars Palace.
On Thursday, Jan. 15, The “Beautiful” recording artist made her big announcement on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
She dished, “I’m going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars. This is a special event for me.
“And again, I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this cause I’m gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album Number 1’s, and this is now the updated version with 18 of them. Hopefully other people will enjoy this. I’ve never done this before.”
No word on how much Carey banked for inking a deal to perform 18 updated versions of her No. 1 hits at The Colosseum, but rumor has it that her contract could be worth more than Britney Spears’ two-year, $30 million deal.
