Nas sued for $10 million by promoter who blames him for being kidnapped

Nas will have to fight a $10 million lawsuit issued by a promoter who was kidnapped after he failed to show up for a concert. According to reports, Nas was given a $300,000 advance by Patrick Allocco to perform in Angola on New Year’s Eve 2011.

However, Nas didn’t show up because Allocco never provided proper security for the event, mismanaged plane tickets and paid the advance late. Allocco was kidnapped by other promoters in Angola who helped him raise the $300,000. He was held for ransom for 50 days. Nas eventually returned the advance with an agreement that Allocco wouldn’t sue.

Allocco was released after Nas returned the money, but he’s now hoping to get $10 million from the rapper.

Nas believes that Allocco put himself in danger and the issue was settled once he agreed to take the money and never sue.

Nas wants the courts to dismiss the case.

Share your thoughts. Should Nas be forced to pay $10 million, or is Allocco wrong for seeking money from an issue that was already settled?
