Unlike the Madonnas of yesteryear, Nicki and Rih-Rih don’t have to wait for a racy music video (though they certainly will use that age-old approach, as seen later) or a picture book to let their fans in on a little flesh; they both have been adept at “leaking” semi-nude photos or behind-the-scenes shots of them scantily clad.
While this obviously plays to the justified criticism that artists have begun to rely too much on scandal and gimmickry to keep fans buzzing, it has proven to be a working formula for these two ladies.
