Michael Jackson hologram at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards
The Billboard Music Awards debuted a “revolutionary” Michael Jackson hologram during tonight’s show and a number of people were not pleased. Just before Lorde took to the stage to accept her award for Best Rock Song, a posthumous Michael Jackson hit the stage via a digital image. The hologram which danced and sang to the track “Slave to the Rhythm,” featured the King of Pop wearing maroon colored pants and a gold-plated jacket.
And while some people said seeing Jackson perform after his untimely death was “incredible”, others called the appearance downright “creepy.”
