As a friend of Target, your support is important to us and that is why I am sharing this update with you. As you have likely heard by now, Target experienced unauthorized access to payment card data from U.S. Target stores between Nov. 27 and Dec. 15. We take this crime seriously. It was a crime against Target, our team members and our guests. We shared the information below via our social channels, and we would appreciate it if you would share this link with your friends and network:

It’s critical for all guests to know:
1.You have zero liability for any charges that you didn’t make.
2. No action is required unless you see charges you didn’t make.
3. We’re providing free credit monitoring to every single one of you who was impacted.
4. Your social security number was not compromised in this breach and we will never ask you by email to provide it.
5. In light of the current situation, we are urging guests to be particularly wary of scams.
