Michael Arnold, 59, Arthur Daniels, 51, Mary DeLorenzo Knight, 51, Sylvia Frasier, 53, Kathy Gaarde, 62, Vishnu Pandit, 61, Kenneth Bernard Proctor, 46, John Roger Johnson, 73, and Frank Kohler, 50 are among the 12 pronounced dead after a shooting massacre on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 in Washington, D.C. at a former shipyard.
Alleged Navy Yard shooting gunman Aaron Alexis, 34, took the lives of 12 people and he lost his own during a gun battle with police.
Arthur Daniels, 51, was shot in the back while trying to escape the gunman. The grandfather of nine leaves his wife, Priscilla, and five children devastated by his death. Daniels, a 19-year Navy Yard veteran, was a sub-contractor who relocated and installed office furniture in federal government buildings including the Navy Yard.
