Gary Clark Jr. will take part in “Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life – An All-Star GRAMMY Salute” – a primetime entertainment special that will celebrate the iconic songbook and remarkable legacy of 25-time GRAMMY winner Stevie. The two-hour show, which was taped at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on February 10th, will air on CBS at 9pm ET/PT on Monday, February 16th.

The show features several of today’s top artists covering Wonder’s songs. Clark will perform the 1973 classic “Higher Ground” with multi-platinum artist, Beyoncé, and Ed Sheeran. They join performers Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, John Legend, Janelle Monáe, Jennifer Hudson and many others. The night’s high water mark performance has already set the media alight with excitement:

“Bey set the bar high by beginning the show with a tremendously energetic medley. Wearing a tight mini-dess and gyrating like Tina Turner, she opened with Wonder’s jubilant first hit, 1963’s‘Fingertips,’ then dismissed her phalanx of male dancers to introduce Ed Sheeran. Sheeran, who would return, accompanied her on Wonder’s 1980 ode to Bob Marley before bringing out guitar whizGary Clark Jr. to deliver a blistering “Higher Ground.” Beyoncé brought the same gospel fierceness to the 1973 hit that she brought to Sunday’s Grammy performance of “Take My Hand, Precious Lord.”

Clark is currently recording the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut album Blak And Blu and will hit the road in March on a headlining tour of Australia and New Zealand.  This fall, Clark will set out with Foo Fighters for a U.S. tour. He is also confirmed to play Rock In Rio USA in Las Vegas on May 8th. Please visit https://www.garyclarkjr.com/tour for all upcoming dates.

Clark is also riding high on the warm reception to 2014’s live album, Gary Clark Jr. Live – an untouched representation of the force of nature that Clark and his band have become on the global stage. Clark has evolved into a sonic expressionist that must be seen live to fully experience.
