5 things to expect from Lifetime’s Whitney Houston biopic

Tonight, nearly three years following the death of legendary singer Whitney Houston, 48, the first film to attempt to depict her talent, trials and tribulations will air on Lifetime at 8 p.m. EST.

In “Whitney,” former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Yaya DaCosta will take on the role of Houston, one of the most successful female recording artists of all time. DaCosta’s previous projects include Lee Daniels’ The Butler, The Kids Are All Right, and “All My Children.”
