A week following her decision to leave E!’s hit fashion talk show, “Fashion Police,” Kelly Osbourne breaks her silence, with only good things to say about her experience. During a recent segment on CBS’ “The Talk,” alongside her mother, Sharon Osbourne; and co-hosts Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood, the 30-year-old gushed about her five-year run. “It was the five best working years of my life. I’m so grateful for the experience.”
The TV personality also saluted Joan Rivers, her late mentor and co-host who was replaced by comedian Kathy Griffin. “Working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible. I learned so much,” she told the hosts, also adding that she is looking forward to a new chapter in her life. “I’m excited for my future now. I want to try new things.”
On Feb 27, the network announced that Osbourne would depart after just four seasons, stating that the TV host was leaving in order to “pursue other opportunities.” But as many of us know, Osbourne’s decision to part ways with E! came in the wake of controversy surrounding co-host Giuliana Rancic, who made racially charged remarks about Disney star Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks on the 2015 Oscars red carpet; stating that the teen looked as if she smelled of “patchouli oil” and “weed.” This was allegedly the final nail in the coffin for Osbourne, who was rumored to have further drama with Rancic behind the scenes.
Although no announcement has been made regarding a replacement for Osbourne, “Fashion Police” is scheduled to return on March 30.
