BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – When you are able to hold your event at the same hotel that Hollywood host its prestigious Golden Globe Awards, that’s when you definitely know that you’ve arrived.

Tiffany R. Warren’s AdColor Awards held its momentous fifth annual awards program and inaugural Industry Conference at the famed Beverly Hilton Hotel on Wilshire Boulevard. No less than famed director Spike Lee and comedian-actor George Lopez were among the award recipients.

As Warren offered while navigating the red carpet, the Fountainblue Hotel and Resort in Miami Beach was a spectacular and appropriate place to host the fourth annual event. But being in Beverly Hills for the fifth anniversary is simply a case of taking the AdColor game to another level.

“The Fountainblue is an amazing property and I think that we choose our properties very wisely. But being in Beverly Hills, it says to the world — and it says to the industry — that we’ve definitely arrived and AdColor is here to stay,” says Warren, who is also the senior vice president and chief diversity officer at Omnicom Group.

Not only is AdColor here to stay, so is the concept of authentic inclusion in the advertising, marketing and media industries. There is perhaps no better time for minorities to seek employment and advancement in this omnipotent occupation. If you are ready to take your own artistic game to the next level, AdColor is ready to go there with you. Even into Tinseltown.

“You know, I love Miami and it is a great place,” begins Frank Cooper, the chief marketing officer for Pepsico and the 2010 recipient of the AdColor Legends Award. “But still … there’s nothing like Beverly Hills, and the Beverly Hilton is a classic place. Legendary things have happened here.”

And, because of Warren’s AdColor Awards, the legendary “things” being created by African Americans and other minorities in advertising are now being recorded and illuminated for posterity.
