Host and Executive Producer, “Sunday Best”
Kirk Franklin is no stranger to making connections to the hearts and soul of listeners worldwide. Franklin’s gospel songs have made him a household name. Now, he has a new hat to wear as the host and executive producer of BET’s newest reality television series, “Sunday Best.” The program will travel from city to city in search of the best and brightest gospel artists in the nation. Franklin is certain that “Sunday Best” will be a celebration that is long overdue.
“I believe [in] BET’s commitment to really try and make this a good, strong and positive show. We really want to bring some inspirational entertainment to television while inspiring people, and giving them a platform to show their talents and gifts . their God-given gifts,” says Franklin.
Franklin’s dual role as both host and executive producer, highlight his keen sense of mastering the artistic side of gospel music along with his business triumphs. “I’m really glad to be on a great team. I’m not trying to dictate, but [I’m] really trying to add as much as I can and contribute to the [show’s] greatness,” adds Franklin. – jason thompson
