kendall thompson answering his calling

Kendall Thompson knew that he wanted to start his own business as far back as his days in college. “I was selling T-shirts on campus,” he explains. “It really hit me to start a Christian company after I graduated from Prairie View A&M University. I went to church, was moved by the Spirit and decided to turn my life over to God.” After that life-changing epiphany, Thompson took his experience selling T-shirts and founded Divine Christian Gifts, a retail store that sells apparel, accessories, fine art and more.
“We also specialize in helping churches, Christian schools and small businesses increase their income and exposure through our programs,” explains Thompson. DCG also provides scholarships to students interested in pursuing a higher education, which is more evidence of Thompson’s belief in giving back. “I said ‘how can I make an impact in the community?’ ” he shares. “I decided to start this company to give back.”
Thompson’s giving spirit and entrepreneurial savvy have been the building blocks for Divine Christian Gifts’ success, and he couldn’t be more proud; not simply because of his successful business, but because he knows that he’s contributing to a greater good. “I definitely think that if it wasn’t for others helping me, I wouldn’t be in the position that I am today,” he says thoughtfully. “I know that we can offer scholarships and help churches and Christian schools get exposure, and I’m happy [about] that.” -todd williams
