It took only 30 minutes for Common to prove why he is arguably the most electrifying performer in hip-hop. As the headliner act at the Lincoln Lounge in Atlanta, the Chicago native transported fans on a journey down memory lane with “I Used to Love H.E.R.,” rapped an open love letter to females on “Come Close,” and flaunted his lyrical prowess with a 10-minute freestyle.
Prior to his awe-inspiring performance, Common spoke about why he developed a business relationship with auto manufacturer Lincoln-Mercury. “I feel that music has a great affect on people,” Common said. “I want my music to touch the world and I love that I’m able to do it with Lincoln. Lincoln has supported me with my Common Ground Foundation and it feels great to be apart of this experience.”
