Yes,
Akon may have been talking about moving back to Africa just a few days
ago (Obama is the new president-elect, so the relocation is no longer
necessary) but he definitely never missed a beat where his music is
concerned.
The
multi-platinum hit maker is currently working with 80s legend Lionel
Richie on his upcoming album, Just Go, which is due out on Feb. 17.
Both Akon and Ne-Yo are writing songs, along with The Dream,
Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Stargate and Johnta Austin.
The lead single from the album, “Good Morning” was just
released.
Akon’s
own project, Freedom is slated to drop on Dec. 2. His new single,
“I’m So Paid” features Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy and
has already been gaining momentum. The talented singer/songwriter says
that fans should expect something a little different from him on his
third album.
“We’re
bringing the whole Euro-club sound,” he said. “That’s
