It
may sound like a plot from one of the talented actor’s movies,
but the warrant that Las Vegas police recently issued for rapper/actor,
Mos Def is for real. The warrant is regarding an alleged fight with a
photographer this past August.
The
photographer, Volker Correll, says that a scuffle broke out when Mos
ripped a camera from his neck. The confrontation allegedly took place
at the Men’s Apparel and Garment Industry Convention and Correll
claims he suffered a cut on his left hand during the altercation.
Correll says that two security guards at the convention had to get his
camera back from Mos. According to court documents, the camera will
require repairs of a whopping $178.
In other Mos Def news, he will appear as Chuck Berry in the upcoming film, Cadillac Records, which will hit theaters on Dec. 5. The film also stars Jeffery Wright and Beyonce. –j.h.
