BREAKING NEWS: Rap Pioneer, MC Breed Passes Away

Rap legend and pioneer, MC Breed (born Eric Breed) died today. He was 36.
The Flint, Michigan native was admitted to an Atlanta hospital on Sept. 5 after suffering from sudden kidney failure while playing a game of pickup basketball. However, he was removed from life support a few days later and was expected to make a full recovery.
The rapper was most known for his single, “Ain’t No Future In Yo Frontin’” which reached #66 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991. Over the years, Breed worked with a plethora of artists, including Tupac (“Gotta Get Mine” and Too Short. Largely known as the first rapper from the Midwest to experience commercial success, Breed was hailed as veteran in the rap scene.
Breed reportedly passed away in his sleep. –j.h.
