ATLANTA
— Elton John and Billy Joel fans have cause to celebrate— the two
megastars have just announced that they will be teaming up with Live
Nation again, this time for the Face 2 Face Tour. The highly
anticipated tour will hit 21 cities, including Atlanta’s Philip’s
Arena.
“I love touring with Billy. I have the greatest respect for him and
we’re such good friends,” Elton, who has collaborated with Billy
numerous times over the past decade, said.
Elton and Billy last toured together in 2003, with 24 sellouts. This
go-around will feature the stars singing duets as they share the stage
together and also perform separately.
“Billy and Elton have shown a history of working together since ’94 and
it really comes down to when they decide they want to do it,” Peter
Conlon, president of Live Nation said. “It probably took two years just
to plan this. They’ll sell out every arena they play. We have a
history, we’ve worked with them before and they like to keep those
relationships they’ve established over the years and we’ve established
that.”
Tickets will be available Saturday, December 6 at 10 a.m. Prices for the
show will be $181, $101 and $55.50.
