Russell Simmons Calls on Bill O’Reilly, Stanley Crouch and Rush Limbaugh
Hip-hop mogul, Russell Simmons who recently signed on as
editor-in-chief at Globalgrind.com, has called on right wing polticos
Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh as well as columnist Stanley Crouch to
write a personal blog geared directly to hip-hop artists and
executives. All three men have been critical of hip-hop. Global Grind
also recently announced a celebrity roster of bloggers, including Ne-Yo
and John Legend.
Fantasia Heads Back to the Studio
Fantasia Barrino is back in the studio recording for her third release,
which is due out sometime this spring. The Grammy-winner has been
working out of Patchwerk Studios with producers, Malay and KP of
Get-O-Vision. Barrino has also been in the studio with former Purple
Ribbon standout, singer/songwriter Scar. Barrino’s brother, Rico
Barrino has been hard at work as well. The singer recently signed with
T.I.’s Grand Hustle and is busy working on his debut album.
Another Rapper Endorses Another Liquor Company… This Time It’s Jeezy
In the latest round of the never-ending liquor endorsements for
rappers, Young Jeezy has inked a deal with Belvedere Vodka to appear as
the face of their new Polish brand. In this case, the liquor company
will sponsor Jeezy’s shows in return for Jeezy making appearances on
behalf of its new campaign. ~jacinta howard
