Known Little Brother’s savvy street poet, rapper Big Pooh, carves out his hip-hop niche on this exceptional solo effort. Mixing melodic soul samples with urban-themed lyrics on tracks like the Mushinah-assisted, “The Life,” Pooh proves he can hold his own with the Styles Ps and Jadakiss’ of the world, while other gems like the poignant, “Rearview Mirror,” find Pooh collaborating with 9th Wonder.
