Don Cannon, Greg Street, Fishscales of Nappy Roots and Killer Mike were among those who came out to support and celebrate with the Cool Kids at Atlanta’s 595 North for the release of their new mixtape with Cannon, Gone Fishing, which was put together by Lavish Life and Fab 5 Entertainment. Of course, ro was on the scene. Below, we’ve given you four reasons why you should’ve been there.

1. Chuck Inglish is a beast on the turntables. One half of the Cool Kids (the other half being Mikey Rocks) Chuck surprised folks with his skills on the 1’s and 2’s. While most people thought that they were going to perform (they actually only did one song), it was nevertheless dope to see and hear Chuck spinning a stellar set.
2. Atlanta’s so-called “hipster” scene is getting more mainstream recognition. Greg Street and Don Cannon co-signed the movement that sprouted up a few years ago. As the talent has moved from underground spots like the Drunken Unicorn to more posh spots like 595 North, the city’s tastemakers have been forced to pay attention. Greg Street even got on the turntables.
3. DJ Wreckineyez and DJ DIbiase are worth watching out for. Wreckineyez is blogger-darling Asher Roth’s DJ, and DIbiase is one of the busiest men in Atlanta. A show with both of them doing their thing on the turntables is a sight to behold. Wreckineyez even got his B-Boy on for a quick second.
4. The Cool Kids have cool friends. Killer Mike, Pill, Playboy Tre, Grip Plyaz and Alien were among the performers who helped Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks mark the release of their mixtape with performances.
