Autopsy

Much ado has been made in recent years of the media-created concept of “torture porn” in cinema. After watching this feature, one would be well within his or her rights in assuming that torture porn is a real type of film. It’s that exploitive, not to mention unoriginal. The story begins when Emily (Jessica Lowndes) and her friends, a group of recent college graduates, have an accident while driving in Louisiana. The kids are brought to Mercy Hospital, an empty facility where one by one, they are subjected to Dr. Benway’s (Robert Patrick) inhumane experiments. It may behoove gore-hounds to mention the fire extinguisher murder scene — but, oh yeah — that’s been done already, hasn’t it? – forrest green III
